It is the scientific name of the big quirquincho, hairy tatú or hairy armadillo. It's a type of armadillo that lives in the Southern Cone of South America. It is found mostly in Argentina. The scientific name is made up of the genus name Chaetophractus, which means thick or fortified hair and the epithet villosus which means abundant, hairy hair. Hard-haired hairy armadillo.
